The NOMCAST - Ryan Murphy's THE PROM Film Review w/ Carolyn Paine & Kevin Dolan

Host Andrew Morgan is joined by actress-dancer Carolyn Paine (WNPR Radio) & actor-comedian Kevin Dolan to break down the high notes & low notes of the latest film from producer/director Ryan Murphy ("Glee", "American Horror Story"), THE PROM.

The film centers around a lesbian teenager named Emma who's small Indiana town cancels their prom because she wanted to take her girlfriend as her date. When a troupe of hilariously self-absorbed Theater stars swarm upon this small town to come to her aid, things get even more out of control. The film stars Meryl Streep, James Corden, Nicole Kidman, Keegan Michael Key, Kerry Washington, & introducing Jo Ellen Pellman as Emma.

Our review discusses how the film compares to the Broadway show, the film's star-studded cast, the breakout of Jo Ellen Pellman, the best & worst songs, the James Corden casting debate in the LGBTQ+ community, & much more.
