Forgotten Flashback: Valkyrie

Original Blog post: May 28, 2019 - A taut thriller that has striking visuals. We love our Tom Cruise action movies, but sometimes he likes to remind everyone that he's got the dramatic chops.

It's very hard to create drama and tension telling a true-to-life story when the entire world knows the outcome of the event, but Valkyrie does just that. This story about members of Germany's High Command attempting a coup to overthrow the Nazis and kill Adolph Hitler was a succinct storytelling achievement and the perfect movie for Forgotten Cinema to talk about.
