Forgotten Flashback: Reign of Fire

Original Blog Post: August 21, 2019 - Still can't that image of McConaughey leaping with that axe in his hand. Love it!

The Mikes are joining the Kentucky Irregulars for this episode of Forgotten Cinema as they waver back and forth on their opinions of the 2002 Post-Apocalyptic, Dragon drama, Reign of Fire. Starring Christian Bale, Matthew McConaughey...and dragons!

Find out what made this film so different from other summer blockbuster hopefuls.  Listen to the Mikes talk about the merits of method acting in front of and off camera.  They also discuss how important a tight, clear, and consistent screenplay is when establishing a new universe that your story takes place in.

So grab your popcorn, soda, and giant Dragon-Slaying axe, please notice the exits at the front and rear of the auditorium, and settle down for Forgotten Cinema!
