Forgotten Flashback: Burn After Reading
Original Blog Post: November 6, 2019 - The Coen Brothers movie you forgot about...well, maybe that's A Serious Man. (That's good, too!)
Mike Butler and Mike Field have survived Forgotten Horror and begin this third season of Forgotten Cinema with a Coen Brothers film and their very first guest! Andrew Morgan from the awesome podcast, The Nomcast!
Andrew and the Mikes are talking Burn After Reading, starring John Malkovich, Frances McDormand, George Clooney, Brad Pitt...the list goes on and on. Our three podcasters discuss what draws such talent to the likes of the Joel and Ethan Coen. The amount of detail put into their scripts, the use of vignettes in telling many of their stories. The Mikes and Andrew also ruminate on why this film, despite the great cast and how funny it is, doesn't get put on the pedestal that most Coen Brothers films do.
So grab your popcorn, and soda, please notice the exits at the front and rear of the auditorium, and settle down for Forgotten Cinema.
And be sure to check out Andrew Morgan at The Nomcast, available wherever podcasts are available!

Get this movie! We love the Coen Brothers and $9.99 is worth it to see one of their movies many people sleep on. This film is funny and has some classic Coen Brothers moments.
