Forgotten Cinema: Young Sherlock Holmes
The game is afoot!
Join the Mikes as they put on their finest deerstalker caps and watch a young Sherlock Holmes and Watson stop an Egyptian cult from murdering people with hallucinogenic blow darts in 19th century London in Barry Levinson's Young Sherlock Holmes, written by Chris Columbus and produced by Steven Spielberg.
Mike Field and Mike Butler discuss how the film is a classic 80's adventure film with a lot of Spielberg touches, that harken back to Indiana Jones or The Goonies. Butler will also discuss how even though it came long after, its hard not to compare this film to another very British film from Chris Columbus...Harry Potter.
So grab your popcorn and soda, please notice the exits at the front and rear of the auditorium, and settle down for Forgotten Cinema.
